Biography
I am a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at UNIBO, Department of Legal Studies (2024-2025). My research focuses on models of normative (legal and moral) risk for AI systems. This work is part of a larger project on "Responsible AI" funded by the Italian Research Center on HPC, Big Data, and Quantum Computing.

Prior to this, I was an IRC Postdoctoral Research Fellow at UCC, Philosophy (2022-2024). My project "Proxy Agency in Law" explored the legal and moral implications of acting as a proxy agent in institutional action contexts. And previously, I was awarded a Postdoctoral Research Fellowship at the Institute for Philosophical Research, UNAM (2021-2022), to carry out my project on "The Foundations of Institutional Agency".

In March 2021, I obtained a PhD in Law at the University of Glasgow. My PhD thesis, "The Institutional Nature of Law: An Ontological Analysis", was co-supervised by Prof George Pavlakos (Law School) and Prof Stephan Leuenberger (Philosophy Department).

During my PhD, I assisted the Jurisprudence Convenor at the University of Glasgow as a GTA and undertook a research stay at the TINT, University of Helsinki, under the supervision of both the late Prof Emeritus Raimo Tuomela and Prof Pekka Mäkelä.

Before starting my PhD, I was a lecturer in Legal Logic at the Faculty of Law, UNAM, and finished a MA in Philosophy at the Philosophy Faculty, UNAM, under the supervision of Dr Juan Antonio Cruz Parcero.

During my MA, I undertook a research stay at the Philosophy of Law Department, University of Alicante. I was then supervised by Dr Manuel Atienza.

I did my BA in Law also at UNAM.
